BROADBAND
WIRELESS
BreezeACCESS
II
The BreezeACCESS II Broadband Wireless Access system operates
worldwide in the license-free ISM band delivering high-speed
wireless Internet access. Utilizing the unlicensed 2.4 GHz band
permits use of the spectrum without the expense of buying or
applying for a license, allowing ISPs to quickly enter and compete
in the market at relatively low costs.
With
an exceptionally low initial investment, BreezeACCESS II is
the ideal solution for new operators wanting to build their
customer base. Once the wireless infrastructure is in place,
it can be scaled upward to support thousands of subscribers
per cell.
BreezeACCESS
II operates in Time Division Duplex (TDD) mode utilizing proven
Frequency Hopping technology to deliver a solution that is
highly secure, robust and reliable. Optimized for data and
voice communications, BreezeACCESS II allows ISPs and ASPs
to rapidly and economically deploy their networks and offer
highly attractive, competitive services to their clients.

Base Station Equipment
 |
The
BreezeACCESS II Base Station Equipment allows remote Subscriber
Units to communicate over the wireless infrastructure. |
The BreezeACCESS II family includes a Base Station Unit and
three types of Access Units with differing architectures:
Base
Station Shelf with Access Unit Modules
The
BS-SH Base Station Unit is a 19" chassis that contains
up to seven (one redundant) BS-AU modules. The BS-AU Access
Units can be synchronized to ensure optimal utilization of
the frequency spectrum available. The BS-SH chassis contains
one power supply with an alternative second power supply for
redundancy. The BS-PS power supply modules are powered from
a -48 VDC power source.
The
AU-A-BS Access Unit model is comprised of an indoor module
(BS-AU) and an AU-RA outdoor unit, which contains a radio
unit and an integrated panel antenna.
The
AU-E-BS Access Unit model is comprised of an indoor module
(BS-AU) and an AU-RE outdoor unit, which contains a radio
module and an RF connector for a separate external antenna
(the external antenna is sold separately to the unit).
The
AU-A-BS or AU-E-BS units are available with either 26dBm (HP-High
Power), 17dBm (MP-Medium Power) or 2dBm (LP-Low Power) output
power at the antenna port. A coaxial cable connects the indoor
module to the outdoor unit and serves for the transmission
of signals as well as for transferring power, management and
control signals from the indoor module to the outdoor unit.
Connectivity to the network is established through a standard
IEEE 802.3 Ethernet 10BaseT (RJ 45) interface.

Stand-Alone
"Micro-Cell" Access Units
The
Stand-Alone Access unit enables the coverage of a small
customer base or an area with low customer density. The
AU-A-NI and AU-E-NI lines are comprised of stand-alone
units, which connect to an SU-RA or an SU-RE outdoor unit.
The indoor part of the Access Unit, the AU-NI, is a stand-alone
desktop or wall-mountable unit.
In the AU-A-NI model, the AU-RA outdoor unit contains
a radio unit and an integrated panel antenna.

In
the AU-E-NI model, the AU-RE outdoor unit contains a radio module
and an RF connector for a separate external antenna (the external
antenna is sold separately to the unit).
