THE SMARTRUNK II CONTROLLER

The heart of the SmarTrunk II System is the Digital Trunking Controller which performs all the signaling and trunking functions, including subscriber validation and call record accounting. The controller can be connected to any full duplex base station or repeater (one controller per channel), providing the interface between the base radio and the telephone system or PABX. For smaller systems (1-4 channels), the popular ST-852 Digital Trunking Controller (not shown) provides capacity for up to 1,100 subscribers per system at a lower cost, and supports both the original SmarTrunk (DTMF) and SmarTrunk II (Digital) signaling formats.
